Raw Black Tourmaline

Tourmaline becomes electrostatically charged when rubbed.  In ancient times it was believed the stone glowed because of it's own energy.  It has been used for protection against high radiation.  It also has a beneficial effect on the locomotor system while strengthening the vegetative nervous system and musculature.  It is a symbol of wealth, frienship, and love.  This is a very important grounding stone.  It is also used to balance energy flows, and is used as protection by helping to absorb or negate negativity.
